We spent one night there transit to other islands and found the place delightful. The staff was very friendly and mostly bi-lingual, and did their best to communicate with this non-French speaker. In comparison with the other five or six Caribbean resorts at which I have vacationed over the years, the Pierre et Vacances at Saint Luce, Martinique, was something of a disappointment.
