In a lush setting, with a real 'away from it all' feel, the Dowans is a great advert for Scottish hospitality. The atmosphere and service are refreshingly relaxed and informal. Our room was extremely comfortable. Housekeeping is exemplary. The staff are first class. But don't expect too much from the restaurant. It's adequate but not the hotel's strong point. more

This is a comfortable,friendly hotel and I enjoyed a last-minute 2 night break here, as it is well-situated for seeing Speyside in its glorious Autumn colours.
