Stayed for 2 nights in a comfortable room. Breakfast is in a nice large room with plenty of space and large tables, the lounge is also a very good size with plenty of games etc that we were encouraged to use. Due to the very old nature of the house out main sink for washing etc was actually in the... More

Just spent two days in Rhayader at this guest house, the owner Paul was a great host and very welcoming. The room was good the breakfast was awesome and the stay overall fantastic. We are going back again in July. The Guest house is 2 mins walk from the centre of town and all the pubs and shops.

Arrived absolutely exhausted after a gruelling bike ride and welcomed by Paul. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and comfortable. Lovely home-cooked food and a very welcome packed lunch for the following day. I would not hesitate to return when I'm visiting the area again.

Bedroom was fine. Nice and warm. Bedstead would make a lot of creaking noises if you had company. Seemed to be a heating boiler in the bathroom which made a lot of noise but this was off during the night which was fine. Internet access was good. My problem came at breakfast. I had seen the breakfast menu in the... More

I am sorry that this guest did not enjoy his stay with us. We recognize how important a guestsexperience is and always endeavor to improve. However in this case the review does not reflect events and can 'at best' be described as a gross distortion. As a small family run guest house we rely on our guest feedback to grow... More

I've just returned home after a one night stay saving me an early start to get to Rhayader for a course. The room was lovely and comfortable and thought that the price was good value for money. I would definitely stay again if heading to Rhayader and would recommend it to others.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful part of mid Wales. Very clean and comfortable accommodation within a short walk of the centre of Rhayader. The breakfasts are freshly cooked with good ingredients - a wider selection of fresh fruit would improve what is already a good offer.

Having stayed at The Horseshoe in August while attending a dog show at Builth Wells, my travelling companion and I had no desire to seek accommodation elsewhere when we returned for a second show in October. That fact is, in itself, a recommendation. Paul is a very hospitable host. The bedrooms are clean and very comfortable, and the breakfast is... More

We had a very comfortable stay at the Horseshoe Guesthouse. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and they had a good variety. Very friendly with our dog as well. Would stay again if back in that area.

I have to agree with other good ratings. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Paul is very friendly and helpful. The free wi-fi was the most accessible I've used away and had a good signal strength. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked. I can't wait to return with hubby for a longer stay!

It is hard to see how our stay at Horseshoe guesthouse could have been improved. It is relaxed and unpretentious. The rooms are clean and comfortable and good value at £34pppn.
