We went as a family for an early season skiing holiday, and felt really lucky to have found such a wonderful peaceful place to stay with fabulous views across the beautiful snowy countryside to the ski area. We were definitely right to stay higher up and on the quieter sunny side of the valley in Ramsau rather than a little nearer the lifts down in the small town of Schladming. We were able to get a good idea of the skiing conditions each day from our rooms and the picture window at breakfast. It seemed when the sun was shining at Pension Concordia and on the slopes, Schladming was under a thick cloud until after mid-day, and when it was snowing, Schladming often had rain! Pension Concordia is a really comfortable welcoming house - made all the better because the Dutch couple who own it obviously love it so much. Nothing grand, but warm, light, spacious, and very practical. Very nearby there are cross-country trails, and there are signed walking trails direct from the door... more
