Stayed here for the first night of a trip around the South Island of New Zealand. Following our arrival into Christchurch, we followed the advice of a fellow Tripadvisor.com member who suggested that instead of overnighting in Christchurch, we head right out, south to Geraldine (about 1.5-2hrs drive) and spend the night there, to get a head start on the rest of the driving the following day.

This bed and breakfast is owned by a very nice couple, and is situated just outside the town of Geraldine. The accomodations are clean. At $250/night (for a bedroom with bathroom and an additional room with two single beds), it's not bad value. Breakfast was great - choice of hot food, coffee, tea, etc.

There is also a common area you can visit at any time with books, magazines, tea, fridge, and even cookies.
