We stayed here for 6 nights and it was by far the best motel we had whilst travelling in NZ.

The English owners took over a few months ago and have completly repainted in and out. Whilst the bathroom and kitchens are a bit dated, they are spotlessly clean and the furnishings ar emore modern. The rooms are large and spacious with lots of storage, the small childrens playarea is nciely kept and safe and the gardens are very well maintained and peaceful. The owners are extremly considerate and helpful.

We stayed here as we were visiting friends in the area, but it is a beautiful location if you dont want to stay in the city - nearby deserted beaches, the town has plenty of takeaways, restaurants and foodstores. more
