First of all, most of the problems can't completely be blamed on the hotel. I would HIGHLY recommend staying in Oia (Chelidonia) or even in Fira, over Kamari. Having stayed many times in the greek islands, i can say that our stay at the Boathouse hotel has been one of our most enjoyable. As other reviewers have mentioned the beds are hard, springs are poking, and there is no mattress cover- somewhat disconcerting in a hotel. They're also low to the ground and covered in cheap, stiff sheets with old, cheap blankets. I'm not sure if fabric softener is not available or if they just buy cheap sheets.
