Spent a few days in McGrorys with my colleagues, (managed to fit in a bit of golf at Ballyliffen) The new menu offered great food at sensible prices. Cosied up to the fire with a pint of guinness and traditional music, what more could we want. I look forward to going back in the new year! Highly recommended for a... more

We have just returned from a short midweek break in Mc Grorys. It was a great locaion, with a lovely beach just a few minutes away. The room was huge and cleaned every day and the staff were friendly and helpful. Only two small dissapointments - my partner was hoping for soda bread along with his full Irish breakfast and whilst... more

Stayed for one night on the package including entertainment in the Front Bar. Comfortable room, very friendly staff, good menu selection and excellent service. The Friday night music was entertaining and was still going strong when we went to bed just after 1am. A great experience. more

We didn't stay in the hotel but enjoyed several evenings of meals and quality traditional music here. Okay it wasn't cheap - Ireland 2009 is not cheap and the country is getting bankrupt - but the food, atmosphere and welcome was worth every euro. They do locally caught fish - not many places where you can still get wild salmon,... more

We weren't staying in McGrorys just booked in for dinner something we have done on many occasions in the past. The restaurant menu has been redically reduced and we thought at first we had been given the bar menu by mistake - we ordered and the staters were ok however we had both ordered sirloin steaks which frankly were not... more

I spent last weekend in Culdaff with some family members ,including young children ,and I had been looking forward to staying in McGrory's as it had received such good reviews. What a disappointment! Whilst the bedroom was pleasant enough the heat was intolerable.I asked next morning if the A.C could be turned on and I was told there was none! The... more

Dear Madam, In response to your Trip Advisor review of our Hotel, it is indeed very regretful that your stay with us was not to your satisfaction. Whilst I do know the value of Trip Advisor as a forum and do indeed personally use it before I plan a trip, I also feel it regretful that your dissatisfaction was not...

McGrory's was an ideal base to explore attractions like the Famine Village on Doagh Island, Malin Head and the many beaches particularly the beautiful Kinnagoe Bay. The rooms are above an excellent pub with live music including trad sessions on a Friday night and an average restaurant (the bacon, cabbage and mash is the pick of the menu). But the... more

It is a very nice place, clean, friendly and the rooms are cute, the only thing lacking was a menu past 2030, we arrived around that time to check in and had been driving all day, was quite hungry and to be told that they were finished serving was very disappointing, we would have been happy with anything, sandwiches, chips... more

We have stayed in Culdaff many times and spent many entertaining evenings in McGrory's Front Bar and The Backroom. Everytime we come away with more memories and a host of new friends. We finally booked a double room in McGrory's this visit at a very good price of €85 a room B&B. Accommodation is very good and the breakfast as... more

Just returned from a valentines weekend away and had to write to reiterate that McGrorys continues with it's high standards. All meals are excellent, but breakfast is a delight with homemade croissants and breads, locally sourced cooked produce and the most delicious porridge with honey and cream I have ever tasted on my travels to date. The rooms are well... more
