From arrival throughout our entire stay, all of the staff members we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We had a suite with a sea view which was smashing. Comfortable bed and a very spacious suite. A little wear and tear here and there, but over all this did not affect our stay. Secure room and very peaceful. Great to have access to the spa and all of the entertaiment on offer. Breakfast was fantastic - a good deal to choose from and a super start to the day. Stepping out of the entrance of the hotel was wonderful with lush lawns surrounding the building, the sea, plus lots of great walks. Just 15 minutes away from restaurants, bars, entertaiment and golden sandy beaches - what more could you ask for. I would recommend and stay again. Thanks to everyone we encountered at HD.

We visited the HD Beach Resort in March 2024 on our first family holiday (myself, my wife and our 7 month old baby). Upon arrival, you are greeted by an impressive reception area and given a glass of fizz. The check is process, for us at least, was not quick. There were 5 people/couples in front of us and as a result the process was hampered and took over 1 hour to get to the front of the queue. There was one couple who had stayed at the hotel before clearly who were behind us and given preferential treatment and pushed to the front which didn’t sit right with me. Even still, it was so slow! And with a baby this was hardly ideal. Once you get to the front of the queue, the staff were kind, friendly and informative but whole check in process can be significantly speeded up and improved. Also…. think it’s a bit of a con you have to pay €27 for use of the safe. Surely this should be included? It is €20 refundable deposit for towels. We stayed in a room on the ground floor of the hotel which had a sea view. The staff had arranged for a cot bed which was perfect for our little boy. Generally, It’s a large room and had everything we needed. It was lightly cleaned everyday, it had a fridge, TV and decent bathroom……….. But, it certainly needs a facelift, a deep clean and significant improvements if this is to be called a 4* hotel. The furniture is dated, broken and tatty. The air-con doesn’t work well. The kettle didn’t work on arrival (promptly addressed) but there was a nail sticking out of the floor and we did have issues with ants throughout our stay at the hotel. I guess this was to be expected on the ground floor, but still, with a baby, not ideal! All in all though, the room was fine. Nowhere near 4* quality but certainly liveable. The food and drinks is what let this place down the most. Food….. generally is ok. But that is it. Ok. It all becomes very samey, very quickly. It is luke warm most of the time and we ate out 3/4 times as a result. You struggle to make a “meal” out of the buffet and instead end up having a random mish mash of food everyday. The deserts are bland and again, get repetitive. Although, the ice cream was great. Lunch time at the pool bar is particularly poor, (warm hot dogs and burgers from a chiller isn’t great) and certainly isn’t anywhere near the quality I would have expected. Drinks….. the massive let down. Cocktails are not included on the all inclusive. Just sugary crap which they offer which just tastes like juice frankly. An all inclusive holiday should in my opinion include all standard cocktails or at least most but you cannot get a simple mojito or pina colada without paying €10 for it. The beer is flat and is self serve with pull points around the hotel. You cannot get a beer at the front of the hotel and are advised to go to another bar. There is a stark difference in the beer in the hotel to that which you can have in the centre of town as it tastes nice! Some spirits are included on the all inclusive but the bar staff quickly substitute the branded stuff for their own watered down stuff. It’s just not what you expect when booking a 4* hotel….. Water…. Not included in bottles but you can refill from the machines around the complex. I understand this from an environmental standpoint. The staff…. I cannot complain. Friendly throughout our stay. Lovely with our little boy, especially the guys in the restaurant. Thank you to all of you. This hotel needs a good few hundred thousand spending on it to make it anywhere near a 4*. The fact TUI sell it as such is laughable! But if you want a fairly comfortable stay, where the food is edible and in a decent location , this is good for you.

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel and in Lanzarote. The whole experience was excellent. The food was very good and the staff were brilliant. We stayed for 11 nights and didn't get bored with the food (as we have at some other hotels). As some have already pointed out, the bedroom furniture is slightly tired looking but the hotel is being refreshed soon and closing for about six months. Having said that, the rooms are still very good. Whilst there, we hired a car from CIC car rentals for three days, which is very close to the hotel. This was a good investment, as it allowed us to visit all the main tourist sites at our own pace, including Timanfaya (we suggest arriving after 2pm so that you're not queuing so long to get in. We went in the morning and queued for an hour and a half.) If you go for a walk up the coast, to the west of the hotel, look out for the small red crabs close to the water on the rocks. You'll also see them at the end of the water breaks by the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and plan to return after the refit. A big thank you to all the staff for their hard work.

Providing delicious food and excellent service is always our top priority, and we're delighted that you enjoyed your meals and found our staff to be brilliant. We appreciate your feedback regarding the bedroom furniture, and we're excited to announce that the hotel will be undergoing a refresh soon. It's great to know that despite this, you still found the rooms to be very good. Renting a car and exploring the island at your own pace sounds like a fantastic idea, and we're glad to hear that it allowed you to visit all the main tourist sites. Thank you for sharing the tip about visiting Timanfaya in the afternoon to avoid long queues. It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed your walks along the coast and discovered the small red crabs. We're delighted that you thoroughly enjoyed your holiday and are already planning to return after the refurbishment. We'll be sure to pass along your appreciation to all our hardworking staff. This is not a 4 star hotel and TUI are letting their customers down. This is our third stay in Lanzarote in 10 months and the only time we are looking forward to going home. We have never written a bad review before for anywhere. Thankfully we had a great TUI trip to the green caves and north of island. Also used the local number 3 bus to get out. Food truly awful. Cold and repetitive at each meal. All inclusive does NOT include beer at front bar.

A lovely holiday - started with a welcome glass of fizz on arrival! We loved the location - right next to the beach - great entertainment watching the wind and kite surfers. The hotel was very clean throughout and our bedroom very spacious, comfy and quiet. Food was plentiful, tasty and varied. (All ingredients of the dishes were available to see on the menu boards in case of allergies or intolerances). All staff were very helpful and courteous. The reception staff gave us bus timetables so we could explore the island. The weather was unusually cooler and windier than expected, but that didn't stop us using the pools which were maintained to a high standard. The gradual slope with rails made entering the pool very safe. The evening entertainment was varied. The Mongolian Act (acrobatics) was exceptionally skilful. We joined in with the exercise classes as complete novices and Laszlo, the fitness coach, was very patient and encouraging and a really nice guy. We had a go at classes that we wouldn't have tried at home - pool aqua biking was brilliant. We finished our week with a walk up the nearest volcano guided by Laszlo. (Take good walking shoes). The views were great at the top. The local town hosted a carnival whilst we were there - again Laszlo took us to view the procession; the music and costumes were incredible.

This hotel is very relaxing and almost no children when we were there how every the weekend got busy with family’s for a few days. Rooms are tired but clean, had all you need and was large with a seating area with tv and fridge. Balcony was nice and not overlooked by the neighbours. Drinks were ok, I think more cocktails would be good but I didn’t struggle. Red wine was the better of the three. Food was lovely prawns salmon loads of meats and salads, vegetables and potatoes. Soups and lovely breads. I think k you’d only struggle with food here if you like junk food. We did eat out most nights as wanted to try local restaurants. Ate in the Italian one even which was nice but very rushed. You finish one course and the next is in front of you. Pools were lovely very clean with comfy beds. They really need a drinks facility by the upstairs pool. Entertainment was ok usually cheesy stuff but most nights were didn’t see much of it. There plenty other places to sit with a drink and relax if it’s not for you. Staff and TUI rep were lovely. Gym was great had all you needed. Would have paid to go in the spa if it was open letter or if the weather was bad but we hit lucky. Would definitely return to this hotel and for what we paid I’d consider it great, You don’t get bottled water so you need to fill up a plastic bottle which is a pain but I get there saving the environment. Grounds are well kept and pretty, amazing sunset from the front. Everything within walking distance. Great time

lovely hotel, staff all so friendly from the minute we arrived at reception. Everyone makes huge efforts to keep hotel clean and tidy both inside rooms and in the communal areas. Restaurant staff equally as lovely and Lasros the exercise coach was just amazing. We had a rainy day so decided to use it as a wellness day at the hotel, eat health (of which there are always lovely salads) and then did a few of his classes. My husband also did the hike with him on the saturday and he organised a group of us to go and see the carnival (he is a credit to the hotel). All of these made the holiday so much more memorable. It wasn't a great week weather wise but we enjoyed our 5 days at the hotel - loved the outside space with its chilled vibe and separate bar area - lovely view over of the sea and lido and only a 5 minute walk to the shops. As its not too huge a hotel too you don't feel swamped by rooms and its also low rise so again just has a nice feel. Well done HD Resort Costa Teguise - 10 out of 10

Hotel is in a great location on the waterfront and has a very relaxing atmosphere. It was clean and had good views in most directions. It’s located on the edge of the town, so it’s peaceful and still an easy walk to main centre. The staff are fantastic, very helpful, well presented and friendly. Food was great - always a lovely fresh salad bar. I’m vegetarian and never struggled to find something at every meal time. My partner really enjoyed a good selection of meat and fish too. Choice of two pools - one quiet on the first floor with lovely sea views, and one with music downstairs next to the daytime snack bar. Both good but we preferred the quiet pool with views. Lifeguards in the ball and friendly, all areas clean and non smoking, and never a problem getting a sunbed! We hired bikes and helmets from the hotel. Only 6 euro each and good condition. Was a great way to explore and lovely roads, plenty cycle paths. Got all the way to the airport one day! We both decided to have massages on an off weather day and they were great. Staff in the spa were also very good. There is a good gym down there too and if you’re into fitness there was plenty on offer and all included - yoga, Pilates, stretch, aquafit etc. We would definitely go back and it would encourage us to visit other HD hotels too. Downsides… neither affected us but might be helpful to know… 1) The hotel is a bit tired in places, but we were told it’s having a refurb later this year. I’m sure it will be amazing once complete. 2) Evening entertainment in main bar seemed a bit cheesy and so loud, a bit out of keeping with the hotel overall. But there are plenty of other places to enjoy an evening, like the seafront bar where there was a great saxophone player one night.

It sounds like you had a fantastic and relaxing break at the hotel! Thank you for sharing your detailed review and highlighting the positive aspects of your experience. The location of the hotel, right on the waterfront and within walking distance of the town center, seems ideal for both peace and convenience. It's wonderful to hear that the staff were friendly, helpful, and well-presented, contributing to the overall pleasant atmosphere of the hotel. The food options, especially for vegetarians like yourself, and the availability of fresh salad bars were appreciated. The choice of pools and the ease of getting a sunbed added to the enjoyment of your stay. Additionally, it's great that the hotel offers bike rentals and various fitness activities, including yoga and aquafit, as part of the package. Your feedback on the hotel's refurbishment plans and the evening entertainment is valuable and provides helpful insights for future guests. Despite these minor downsides, it's clear that you had a wonderful experience overall and would consider returning in the future.
