I visited this hotel with my best friend, we chose this hotel for its location, the hotel is in a great position for the beach and for travelling around the island. The hotel is nice and clean, very light and airy, with nice decor throughout. The gardens and grounds are well kept, the flowers climbing the buildings looked stunning against the white washed walls. The pools are really clean, and the sun beds are really comfy especially the cabanas. The rooms were nice and simple and light, we had a room that over looked the pool, which we loved. It is so nice to sit on the balcony in the morning seeing the birds and lizards roaming around. It was also lovely in the evening listening to the music that was being played that evening. We were on a B&B basis, the breakfast was good, lots of variety, from continental to cooked breakfast. Fresh Spanish omelette was cooked daily, cereal, pastries and the donuts were delicious! The local bus stop is just up the road from the hotel, and it stops in lots of locations. We walked to Ciutadella from the hotel, we went along the coast and it was beautiful. The coast line is very rocky and rugged, make sure to wear good shoes. We got the bus to several bays, it was very cheap! The best beach we visited was Maceralleta, it was a lovely hike up a hill to get to the beach, well worth the effort, the beach is stunning! Cala en brut is another great spot for diving in the sea and snorkelling. We had a couple of evening meals at the hotel which were really good, we booked the grill but was disappointed as they had ran out of steak. But the food we had was very nice. The buffet restaurant was ok, we were glad we didn’t have to eat there all week as it was not very exciting. We only ate there when we were too tired to go out. Overall a lovely hotel and the staff were nice and helpful. Great base for exploring the island. The shop opposite the hotel is great for snacks and drinks, we visited it often and took our food back to our room.

Room Tip: We visited in May, the hotel had just opened. The pool was cold, which is ok when the sun is out....

Fabulous hotel, friendly staff, excellent location. Spotless room and breakfast was amazing. Right beside the beach and a 20 minute walk to Ciutadella. Cala Blanca is a 10 minute walk. Bike hire available at hotel and they can arrange moped hire for you.

We went 1st week October 23, weather sunny and hot. Hotel far from full at this time so not crowded and plenty of sun loungers under an extensive canopy. Rooms basic but clean, although no kettle, but I had realised this and took my own. The only 2-pin socket which fit my adaptor was in the bathroom, but was sufficient for kettle and phone charging. Staff on reception very friendly and helpful, supermarket immediately opposite hotel entrance, only 10 mins in a taxi to Ciutadella as there is no resort centre in Santandria. Pool bar brilliant, varied menu, and open til late. My only real gripe was the stone-cold food at breakfast and dinner from the buffet but fish, omelets, etc would be cooked to order. Two cute beaches yards from hotel, down a flight of steps, easy to navigate. All in all, a pretty good hol and would recommend Prinsotel.

Booked this as part of a TUI package holiday. This hotel is beautiful - very clean, well laid out, spacious, organised. The staff, though their English isn't the best, were cheerful and welcoming. Had a room overlooking the pool which got the sun most of the day. Bedroom good size but although it was cleaned every day, the balcony had petsl on it all week; sheets not changed; bedside table not wiped down etc. And bath towels, if you're over a size 14 you may struggle to wrap it round you! Breakfast buffet style - lots of food laid out in different sections and well presnted. large choice of cooked and cold food items. Ate at Picco twice - service was hit and miss but the waitress was trying her best - can't fault the food which is the most important thing! Ate once at Grill - it was just okay, nothing to rave about. Ate once in the restaurant in the evening as we were on B&B basis. Not my cup of tea to be honest - good choice but lots of paella/rice etc which I'm dubious about being left under heaters for a long time but the choice was just average. location nice between 2 coves; we went into Cuitadella at night 3 times which is awesome. Buses frequent and taxis arrive within 5 minutes if reception call them for you. Lovely hotel - would recomend.

Such a lovely place with a very well managed team but it was disappointing that there were not enough of the team available to order drinks in the buffet restaurant or to ensure a good service in Picco.

The hotel is in a good location and has an excellent swimming pool. The restaurants in the hotel offer a range of styles of food, and there’s a nice outdoor bar which is open until quite late. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful.

We weren’t disappointed by our choice on our first trip to Menorca. This is a beautiful hotel of low rise white buildings, lovely pools and right by the beach. The grounds are lovely and so well kept. We just found it so relaxing. The staff are an asset to the hotel, they are lovely and can’t do enough for you. We had a two year old with us and staff were very friendly and we felt there was a lot for a toddler here. We visited kids club on an evening and again the staff were super. The accommodation (club suite) was lovely. Breakfast was delicious, for me the best I have been to and we have been to much more expensive resorts! I genuinely can’t understand any negative reviews of this, they had everything. Particularly impressive nuts and seeds selection, omelette station worked well. Cleaning was exceptional throughout our stay, not only in terms of the clean itself but the fact they always managed to do it when we were out so you constantly came back to a clean room - fantastic! The only reason we can’t give the full five stars are there were a couple of areas for improvement: - firstly on arrival our room wasn’t ready at 2. Not a big deal but it is check in time so I would expect an apology rather than it’s not ready go get lunch (particularly with a toddler after travelling). - secondly when we got to our room it wasn’t the room we paid for. Instead of a suite with garden access it was a suite with a balcony (we specifically didn’t want this with a toddler - and this was also a slightly cheaper room category so I had paid more not to have this). We then had to query this and they said no it isn’t the one you paid for but we don’t have any left until tomorrow. We ended up staying in the room as we didn’t want to have to unpack and pack up again the next day with a little one, but I did think this should have been raised on arrival and apologised for rather than us raising it and just being told they were out of the room we had purchased. - thirdly the evening meals really weren’t great for the following reasons: - The pizzas were good and the men cooking the fresh food did a good job, some nights this meant you could have a freshly cooked salmon etc. but other days there just wasn’t much choice. - the labelling was atrocious. Nobody could tell what they were eating and I think this could be so easily remedied! Simple blackboard or whiteboard labels they can rub out - would make everybody much happier. - some theme nights were repeated so we had two consecutive days of chefs night for example! -

We had 6 fabulous nights at the end of September in this amazing hotel. The staff across the board are outstanding; friendly, efficient, genuine service. We were so lucky with an awesome suite with a garden, it was pure luxury. Breakfast was an experience in itself with so many choices. My special delight was a whole honeycomb of the best honey I have ever tasted. There are two outdoor pools neither was too crowded in September and the weather was perfect, not too hot. Location is good for the centre. You can walk it in 25 mins or taxis are easy and not too expensive. I loved the bars in the resort where once again the service was so good. I can recommend this resort to everyone. Single visitors, couples, families, older & younger people. You will be so well looked after. Thanks again to all the staff . Big hug to our maid who was just the best!!

This is a lovely hotel, great staff & beautiful grounds, nice rooms & very clean. However it is let down massively by the food on offer. The buffet restaurant feels like a school canteen, so much so it didn’t feel worth getting dressed for dinner because the setting was so underwhelming. The food was frequently covered with flies, which I’ve never seen before in hotels of this nature. There isn’t much choice, very repetitive each night & the ‘speciality’ dishes tended to be things like more meat or more cheese. Breakfast was the same - the hot choices were frequently cold (like beans etc) which isn’t pleasant, although there were some nice pastries. If this hotel could improve the food it could be amazing as it had everything else right! Would really recommend a trip to Cituadella - it’s a stunning place.

This review is about the Grill Restaurant and not the Prinsotel Hotel. We have dined at the grill restaurant a number of times prior to the pandemic and our experience with the food and staff was very positive. We decided to book again in September 2023 and based on our previous experiences we were anticipating a great meal. How wrong we were, the starter was diminutive and bland and at 16 euros did not present value. The mains of somillio Angus served with a few and I mean a few vegetables, which both myself and wife ordered was one of the smallest pieces of steak I have ever had at any restaurant in Menorca or anywhere else. The taste left a lot to be desired. At 32.50 euros per meal it was a very poor effort and nothing like the food the Grill was serving before. We didn’t order a sweet as we were put off by the starter and main. At nearly 95 euros this was a poor meal, tiny portions, which left you hungry after and not that well cooked and frankly we expected better of this establishment. We didn’t return as we found far better restaurants serving better food which were far better value. The serving staff were dismissive and were unattentive hence why we did not leave a gratitude for them. It’s never nice to leave a negative review but our experience was negative based on our dining experience at the Grill and on our two week stay the Grill gets our award for the worst meal and high prices for so little.
