This hotel is located along the waterfront of Puducherry and the rooms at the front of the hotel have small balconies which are a great place to chill out and watch the sunset.

The rooms themselves are simple but clean and range from fan only to air-con. The four with balconies are the most expensive.

The ground floor of the hotel houses a basic cafe with reasonable food.

Service in the hotel is as you would expect in a backpacker style hotel: brisk but OK, although the staff are a little vague about room rates and what rooms are available.

As much of the budget accommodation in Puducherry is run by the Sri Aurobindo Ashram whose staff are incredibly rude and whose hotels come with more rules than boarding school, the Ajantha Beach Guest House is a good option. more
