we reached the resort by taxi from pondicherry.the room was quite spacious & well ventilated.NO TV WAS A BONUS.the pool was splendid & it was a welcome break in the sweltering heat of February. The staff in the resort were helpful & quick in services. Food was average & seafood was delicious, fruit palate was very palatable. Sunset by the beachside... more

The place is very very nicely maintained. Amazing gardens, swimming pool & other amenities. Although food is very very costly. & is difficult to travel often to the city. Ideal for people who have their own vehicles. more

My friends & I booked the Kailash Beach resort for an all-girl weekend trip. Our main objectives were to stay somewhere where we'd have access to the beach, where there'd be a good pool and where we'd feel safe. On all three counts, Kailash scored top points. The resort is situated some 10 km from the city, which is both... more

it's advertised as an beach resort --- but it isn't a beach resort - there are no facilities at the beach like chairs, umbrellas, service. it's a stop over hotel for groups and families (indian) who stay there for one/two nights. the menu is short, boring and expensive and u have to wait for food up to one hour. there... more

My family and I just spent 4 days there in July. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and functional, the AC did a decent job. Its not going to drop the temperature to 65F but it cools it down to where its comfortable. However, some of the rooms can be quite dark so make... more

The Kailash is located on idyllic beach (you cannot swim in the water after the Tsunami) with lovlely surroundings. The pool is very nice and large, the rooms made with nice antique furniture (see picture) However the lobby and reception staff, very friendly, but not very well organized. The drinks are VERY expensive (it should not be because taxes are... more

I booked a dinner for my marriage on may 2005, with a small part of my indian new family and sometimes my wife and me we pass some days... more

The Kailish is a great place to relax in the midst of your travels around India-gorgeous pool, amazing beach front access for long walks, wonderful spa services (massages and yoga classes). Food could be better though,as could service-staff are very kind and helpful, but it takes ages to get a drink in the bar! Ask for a room facing the... more
