The only thing going for it is that it is on the shopping strip Our taxi from Darjeeling was not allowed on the Marg and so we had to switch auto's from a staging area to get to the hotel. We booked this hotel with a travel agent in Gangtok in August 2006 and our bookings were confirmed in September. Ended up in the Tashi Delek after raving review from the Footprint Guidebook. Compared to the other availble accomodation it was ok, but not worth the money (2700 Rps for a double). Reception is posh but the rooms are starting to look shabby. Terrace and food is nice. more
