We just stayed overnight en route from Hvar to Bol, The lady of the house who speaks only Croatian and a little German gave us a very warm welcome. (Incidentally we only speak English and a little French). However we managed to understand each other. The room was clean and comfortable, and close to the village centre and port, although be warned it is quite a steep climb to the house if you are arriving by bus with a suitcase (as we did). more
