In Kabul, this place takes the cake for price, security, and even atmosphere. This place costs 55$USD with an additional 5$ for internet. You can also get dinner for around 6$ and breakfast is included, full, and low key. It has a nice open garden in the middle.
No pool, but a little gym. Really, considering that most people reading this will be looking for a UN-Security cleared place, and if it comes out of your own pocket instead of some org, then this is the best place for your money.
Rooms are small but there's decent internet, 50 channels, and all you need for an alright and clean stay in Kabul. There are many long-timers there as there's 24 hour electricity, AC and the Kabul necessities that quickly turn into luxuries after a while.

The rooms are clean and have their own bathroom and meanwhile even a central heating which is working pretty well. Try to get one in the backyard if you don’t want to be woken up in the morning by the cars arriving in the hotel to pick up the staff from various international organizations.
The only issues one could raise are that lunch and dinner are sometimes not the best one you could...
