Sete is very much a working port but is interesting with a great market on Wednesday. This hotel very convenient for the harbour and old town area. It is a great old building with an impressive attrium. Our room was light and felt clean and spacious. The bathroom was a bit dated but this did not make any difference to... more

Hi, I would highly recommend the Hotel L'Orque Bleue and hope to return for the Worldwide Festival in 2010. The hotel was very clean, with lift and garage facilities, which we parked our bikes in for no charge. The rooms well appointed with a king size bed, small TV and excellent speed wifi. The air-conditioning worked a treat and the... more

To visit the town of Sete, this is ideally placed on the old quay-side. Parking (at least in March) posed no problem since a few meters down the road it is unrestricted. There are paying hotel garages available too. The reception staff were friendly and helpful - although they won't take cheques and don't like cash at all. The place... more

Not having visited SETE before we were entralled by the busy port activity. We travelled by train from Avignon which was a fast and convenient connection. No trouble taking a taxi to the hotel. The hotel has a garage but a car is not a great asset in SETE itself. The room was very good having been recently refurbished with... more

This hotel is in a great location right on the quayside. The rooms are a decent size and should you book a room with a canal view (which I highly recommend) you get superb views over the Canal Royale with it's fishing boats and a view over to the restaurants on the quay opposite. There is on street parking or... more

The photos on the hotel's website are accurate; the room we had was spacious, the view amazing, and the location ideal. The staff was very friendly and wonderful, online and in person, and provided helpful recommendations. The rooms are very comfortable; despite the wind and cold the one night we were able to stay in Sete, we slept soundly. The... more

Continuing our month long tour of hotels in the south of France our aim was to find excellent hotels for approximately £60 per night., including breakfast. We were pleased to find Hotel L'orque Bleue from the tourist board website and decided to visit because of the fantastic location. The hotel has nine rooms overlooking the canal and harbour, several rooms... more

Spent one night in hotel which is in a great situation, right in Sete port and overlooking the canal. Building is a listed historic monument. Try to get a room with a canal view. We had good sized room with king size bed on second floor. Breakfast was ok - croissants disappointing. Traffic and parking is a nightmare in Sete.... more
