Have returned from a fabulous fortnight in The Elizabeth. This is a small, family run hotel (abt 22 rooms). We had read reviews abt other Gouvia hotels and were impressed by comments of friendliness at the Spiti Prifti, however, my husband had been to The Elizabeth 29 years ago, when it first opened, and when he checked and found that Dimitri was still the owner, we had no hesitation in trying it out. We didn't go thru an operator, preferring to book flights and hotel ourselves, incl car hire for 3 days, we considered we got a good deal by doing it this way. Dimitri is THE MAN and his son, Akis, are the most friendly and funny people we know. Dimitri and his family (wife Matoula, son Akis & daughter Elizabeth) work tirelessly to ensure that your holiday runs smoothly and that you get everything you require. Nothing is too much trouble.
