The apartments were clean and tidy with a great pool, bar, friendly staff and good selection of music playing during the day. Although only a minute away from Kavos' legendary main strip the place is peaceful when you need it to be (apart from when the lads next door locked themselves out at 5am).
Loads has been written about the Kavos bars, clubs and beach and it's all true...however, behind the resort up in the hills are some fantastic bar/restaurants with wonderful views across to the mainland. From the southern end of Kavos follow the road towards the village of Spateria. It's a long walk, but you'll sweat off your hangover and get to see the beauty of Corfu. Get some take-outs in Spateria and continue down the other side of the hills to a beach that really is paradise. The locals drive there with tents and picnics - there's no bar, but then there're no annoying Brits, hawkers or drum 'n' bass.
