DBB for two was £100 which we felt was excellent value. By misfortune the weather was terrible and there were serious floods nevertheless we reached the hotel without difficulty shortly before 2pm. Lovely setting but... After a very long trek up, along &down stairs we discovered a dimly lit room with a hard/ lumpy double bed (not king) V. hot in room. “Very nice stpot on the banks of the Tyne”

Had a drink here on my way home to Northumberland back from the Lake District - very nice hotel to stop in for a snack and very scenic location! Plenty of seating in bar area/lounge and polite friendly staff.

we stayed 4 nights dinner bed and breakfast lovely hotel set on banks of the river. Previous comments of a negative nature are not justified one or 2 little niggles but on the whole good value for money.
