Recently we had the pleasure of staying at the Gore Backpackers, which is a converted fire station within walking distance of all the amenities and attractions in Gore. The staff made us feel very welcome, and the accommodation itself was very comfortable. As a converted fire station it has alot of character. Its a brilliant place to stop on the way through the main tourist route to either Queenstown or Te Anau. As far as NZ backpacking accomodation goes I could not speak more highly, it was clean, comfortable and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Recommended! more
