Have just come home from a week in the Colon Guanahani (pronounced HUAN-A-HANI) and I must say it was very enjoyable. Stayed for 10 nights at this hotel in September 2006. On first arriving in the reception area I wasn't as impressed as some of the 4* hotels I have stayed in but then on reflexion it was quite nice. Not quite as impressed as previous reviewers. Hotel is officially rated as a 4 star I believe - in our opinion it is good 3 star. We stayed for 4 nights on a halfboard basis.
