We stayed at this hotel through a package with Gate 1 as well. We like this hotel, the staff was friendly. The room was clean and the size is decent. There's plenty of room in the bathroom. We had one of the rooms that was facing the main street, and the view is gorgeous! I have to admit that it... more

First time in my life i felt like i was a prison not a hotel. Very pricey but not classy. You can't even ask for an extra towel. they question you and don't even agree to leave an extra one for you. The room is extremely small for two beds. No one there to help you with your luggage, you... more

Date of stay: June 5th to 12th, 2008 Type of room: standard apartment The hotel: nice, clean and well maintained, it is not a luxury hotel (at least not the standards apartments), so if it is luxury you’re looking for – go somewhere else. As a matter of fact, go to Cassandra, here in Sithonia is a little bit of... more

Stayed at the Despotiko for 3 nights as part of a Gate 1 package deal. The hotel is very nice, clean and you really can't beat the location. Yes, you have to walk up a hill.....but then again, everything is right down at the bottom of that hill, so it's a good trade off. Plus, the food in Mykonos is... more

This was a nice place to stay. My husband and I stayed here for three days on our honeymoon. Our room had a small "living area" and a bedroom loft on a second level. Our balcony opened up to absolutely nothing. The room was okay and the hotel itself was on the very edge of Mykonos town, which meant that... more

We were booked at the Depotiko through a package deal made with Gate 1 Travel. We had planned the Greek vacation, (10-day Greek Islander), before we got the idea of getting married on Santorini. After we had made our wedding plans, my wife-to-be told the Gate 1 agent that we would be getting married on our trip. The agent on... more

I just recently returned from Mykonos, where we stayed at the Despotiko Hotel. The Family that runs the Hotel are great people... very friendly and helpful. Nice Basic pool for sun and relaxing... the rooms are pretty simple and basic... which works in Mykonos, because hopefully you won't spend a ton of time in your Hotel Room. The location is... more

If you're going to mykonos, that's a brilliant location to stay, because if you want to go to the beaches in the daytime, and go to restaurants and bars at night, it's best to stay in the town center. Despotiko has a perfect location:just 2 minutes walk from the main bus stop, and from the bus stop you are in... more

This hotel is only five minutes walk from the bus station where you catch the buses to the beaches and to the start of the shopping alleyways of Little Venice. Lovely patio/pool area. Only warning is those five minutes are just about straight uphill from the town and after a day of sightseeing can be a struggle. Highly recommend the... more

We stayed at the Despotiko Hotel in Mykonos, Greece in April of 2006. The hotel is clean, the staff friendly and helpful. It is close to shops and restaurants but one must be able to walk up and down steep hills to get to these places. Cabs are available. The hotel is right on the main road so the sound... more
