The scenary is beautiful and the beach clean - just such a s shame that the hotel descriptions are misleading and inaccurate. If you like dining with flies, poor cleanliness, hygeine, cold often under cooked food and impersonal service then this is the place for you. We stayed for 2 weeks and it is the worst holiday we have ever... more

it is getting better and better every year,we had few days of pure relaxation in this hotel.rooms are large-we had a junior suite- check-in quickly and proffessional, beach fantastic and spa facilities a place of tottal rejuvanation. one of the things we enjoyed most was the room service .dinner in your private balcony overlooking the resort and the sea was... more

Second time been in Porto Carras hotels, this time in Sithonia hotel, which was worse than Meliton. The reason for staying there was again the greek school chess championship which was held again in Porto Carras in the same terrible way as last year. In the big waiting room for the parents there were only some dozen of chairs available,... more

The hotel looked very mediocre and accommodations were very average. The roof was leaking in the casino due to rain. Service overall was average to poor. The buffet was nothing to write home about. But above all, the cigarette smoke was all over. Everywhere in the hotel people were smoking without any consideration for anyone else and no one seemed... more

After reading the reviews here, I went to the Sithonia Hotel in Porto Carras with low expectations. I had a work meeting at the hotel and it would have been inconvenient to stay elsewhere. Let's get a few things out of the way. The hotel is showing some signs of wear (carpet stains near the elevator & a towel rack... more

Worth a read if you have all day! The brochure photograph showing an idyllic Hotel next overlooking a Marina was actually a photo of the Sister Hotel next door - the Meliton. The Marina - when we did walk to it is very run down and the beginnings of development attempts seem to be afoot. The yachts don't seem to... more

My wife and I spent 5 days at the Sithonia in end July 2008. We were disappointed in nearly every aspect. - The terrace restaurant and bar are in a stunning position with nice views day and night. We found the staff in all hotel restaurants quite slow and not friendly. - Food in the so-called "gourmet" restaurant mediocre at... more

Stayed in The Sithonia from September 5 to September 20, 2007. It was cool (+18-+25), untypically for the season and region. Hotel: a twin of The Meliton Hotel. Looking as Meliton, inside the Sithonia was less luxurious, less official and noisy. The hotel obviously needed renovation in some spots like elevators and halls decoration. Room: Connecting Rooms (Mountain View) had... more

A complete surprise as to what we got for our money. The Sithonia Beach Hotel is located directly on the beach - a short walk from the new marina and a slightly longer walk to the main Neos Marmaras town - quite the adventure along the beach track. This accommodation suited us great as a group of ladies seeking a... more
