We just stayed overnight here travelling up the river by slow boat. The room and bathroom were good sizes and clean. There was weak wifi. They do sandwiches to takeaway for the boat. At 10,000 kip it might be one of the more expensive options for Pakbeng.
We took a chance and went with the owner who was touting this guesthouse at the

When you arrive here, you have to go up a narrow wooden staircase to get to the rooms. It is VERY narrow and awkward for me (5'11", 180lbs) to get up and down.
