My wife and two daughters stayed here over the bank holiday period while attending the eisteddfod in Llandudno, due to all the cheaper chain hotels in the area being fully booked. I must say we were all looking forward to stopping in a more 'up market' establishment than the normal travel lodge type establishment, but were disappointed with the general... more

I turned up with 2 nights accom booked, only to find out they only had a reservation for me for 1 night and the hotel was full the 2nd night. When the receptionist checked their booking, it did say that it was for 2 nights, but she shrugged and said the hotel was full, there was nothing she could do.... more

Booked on recommendations of colleagues, for £90 a room for a single and very good it was too. One of those big Victorian houses, right on a main road (junction at that) that needs to offer better than average for the price. The hotel is a little tired (bedroom cupboards and bathrooms) but someone has done a fab job making... more

We had our wedding at the Talardy in Oct 07 and it was fantastic! We had the Chinese themed room which was amazing. I am very fussy but I have to say the room was spot on. The whole hotel was immaculate. All my guests commented on what a fabulous wedding it was and that the food was wonderful!!! The... more

Night before our stay hotel phoned to say that we couldn't use any of the restaurants or bars as they were booked up with private Christmas parties. There would be a disco on until 1am both nights as well. They offered us room service instead but only Christmas dinner. We cancelled and spent an evening searching for an alternative. They... more

We stayed in the African themed room for my partners 30th Birthday night. The room was lovely, very spacious, quiet. We ate at the restaurant within Talardy, which was nice food but I feel slightly overpriced. We did have a lovely time, the only complaint I did have was that the top covers on the bed were dirty, stained with... more

My wife and I stayed at the Talardy with another couple in Feb 2007. It was absolutely fabulous. We stayed in the Modern Contemporary suite and our friends had the Old China suite - both rooms were immaculate, expansive and luxurious. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel - a wonderful high quality pub lunch in the chestnut... more

I was looking forward to a weekend in the Old Chinese Suite. Tad disappointed. Whilst it seemed ok at first, on closer inspection it was pretty dirty, the dust accumulated around the windows was very thick and lots of dead insects which showed quite clearly that the cleaning is haphazard. The jacuzzi bath was not used as it looked dirty... more
