We stopped here on our drive down to Italy and would like to come back. We arrived very late due to horrendous traffic but still had a very nice meal. The setting is lovely and quiet, and we can definitely recommend going into the village afterwards to buy some wine. We did!

It's at the very beginning of the small village of Dieffenthal, quite, view on the vineyard and the Vosges (you can see some castle ruins up there). We adored this hotel: friendly service, big rooms, and a quiet, countryside location. Every single person who works there seems to love their guests - a rarity in France. The restaurant is wonderful, as is the cosy wine bar with its Alsatian decor. Highly recommend - and will stay here again very soon.

There is a slight air of Fawlty Towers about this hotel. I do not mean that in a bad way. It has no airs or graces - there is a slight air of fustiness about the place. We found this hotel looking on T.A., it's easy to reach and find a park place for the car, the location is righ in the middle of the Alsace region and you can easily reach any of the famous places from the hotel, there are also a big commercial area and a McDonald's nearby. Attractive calm location. Good restaurant - big breakfast. We had a big family room, there was plenty of space. Wooden floors that was clean (very nice when travelling with children...).
