We stayed at this hotel as part of a touring car group and were very disappointed. Despite it listing itself as a 3 star hotel on it's website, it is clearly a budget hotel which charges extra for every small request, even a boiled egg for breakfast! The rooms are very poorly furnished with 20 watt lightbulbs which make it impossible to read. Bathrooms are little more than cupboards and very old, last decorated many years ago. The towels are unmatched, old and brittle - the kind you use to clean the car with. The food was just adequate, breakfast was meagre and there was little choice. The best thing about the place was it's location near the foot of Mt. Pilatus and walking distance to the cog railway. It was handy for the motorway and the railway into Lucerne - in fact they both ran across to the rear of the property causing considerable noise! more
