Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This family run inn is a pure delight! The staff is warm and friendly, willing to help in any way. The food is exquisite. The only reason to eat off site is to get pizza or gelato. Our room had a wonderful view of Lake Garda which was pretty during the day but magical at night. We enjoyed hiking in the mornings and swimming in the afternoons. We hope to return in the future!

Hotel's Favourite
I had a lovely stay from the moment of check in with the lovely Francesca until my departure. My beautiful spotless room with lake view was extremely comfortable with everything one might need. Minibar, toiletries and even a beach bag with a towel should you go to the lakeside beach or even sunbath in the stunning gardens. Breakfast was amazing with both hot and cold options, fresh fruit, yogurt. The selection was excellent and to extensive to mention everything. Weather permitting one can have breakfast on the outdoor terrace overlooking the lake. One can also have dinner however sadly on this occasion I didn't. I did however at its sister hotel, just along the road (separate review) The hotel can easily cater for any food allergies or intolerance if advised prior to arrival. This hotel really is a true gem. Everyone is so lovely and always willing to help and advise. I really was sad to leave. Please please don't forget to do "The Lemon Grove Tour" on a Friday morning with Andrea and Francesca. It is a truly wonderful very informative experience with the chance to purchase some lovely gifts at the end of the tour. Thursday's is aperitivo evening in the hotel's wine cellar. Yet another thing not to be missed. A car is recommended to explore this quieter part of Lake Garda away from the crowds further south. The hotel provides on site parking or if there are no more spaces, can provide a permit for free street parking for the duration of your stay. Thank you to all for a lovely stay.

Rooms are very comfortable, the food quite outstanding and the setting on the lakeshore with shady garden is lovely. The staff were wonderfully helpful when one of our party needed medical attention.

Our third stay at this beautiful hotel right on Lake Garda. We come back here time and time again. Nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are unfailingly friendly, polite and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable and views are magical. The restaurant is wonderful with a big choice of beautifully cooked local food. Gargnano itself is charming and the local area and beyond are packed with things to do. I cannot find any fault save our time here is never long enough! Will return again as soon as I can.

Just returned from 12 nights at this lovely hotel. Located right next to the lake, it's civilised and run with quiet efficiency by its private owners who are on site every day. Our room was beautifully furnished and had 2 balconies which provided amazing views of the lake. The food was great and the outside terrace a lovely place to eat. The staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. So, so many good things I could say

We stayed for 6 nights earlier this month. What a lovely hotel and a beautiful location. Our room was on the 3rd floor and was a good size with olden type furniture which really fitted the room. Our balconey was large and over looked the garden and lake, stunning views. Breakfast and dinner was taken outside in the gadens overlooking the lake a wonderful location. The staff were extremely attentive and nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast was very good and plentiful and the supper menu was quite extensive. Breakfast did not start till 8am and on the day we departed we had to leave at 0745, the staff met us at 0630hrs with a packed breakfast, fruit and bottled water, excellent, we will certainly be back. A real gem of a hotel. Beautiful location...our room had 2 balconies overlooking the lake. Everything spotless. Breakfast amazing. Free parking. We were guided to a space on the street outside. Lovely garden with loungers and access to the lake down a ladder. We ate at the sister hotel the first night a few yards along the road. Table overlooking the lake and superb food. All staff were smily and friendly. Highly recommend.

We split an antipasta of seafood, incredibly tasty. My main dish was perch in foil which was cooked with olives and cherry tomatoes. Wonderful flavour. My wife had the Felchen fish which she proclaimed to be excellent. The house wine is tops. For dessert we had a Bavarian cream, very light and fluffy. The view from the terrace over the lake is spectacular.

Two night stay in the midst of the Covid Summer - Hotel is fabulous with a perfect lakeside location and out side dining - rooms were clean spacious and comfortable and staff did everything to ensure that everybody felt safe and well looked after. Lake side location means that you can relax in the garden and swim (via a ladder) directly in the lake. We ate breakfast and lunch both of which had a wide range of choices and well presented. So pleased we took the time to drive down from Switzerland, all highly recommended.

I was fortunate enough to reserve this pearl of a hotel for a five day stay with my family at the end of the season. We loved everything about the hotel. The wonderful history (with the same family), the location just by the lake (with direct access to the lake for our morning swim), the beautiful rooms and facilities fit for the building, excellent food at the restaurant (we had the half board) and most of all the friendly and genuine people that worked at the hotel to make our experience the best it could be. There is something to be said for having the owner come and discuss the evenings dinner with you ar breakfast time and also wishing you a friendly farewell at the end of your stay. Special thanks to Francesca for the interesting tour to the family lemon garden! If you like your hotels with personality, great individual service and a wonderful location, you just can't go wrong with this one!
