This hotel is VERY unique and a hidden gem! We loved the location right in the middle of 'old town' in a car-free area. The decor, furnishings, paintings, and architecture is AMAZING. We would go back to Cannobio and stay at this hotel again! The staff was wonderfula nd the breakfasts were great! Wonderful cappuccinos and made-to-order eggs! The car-park... more

My wife and I stumbled across this charming town and this hotel 11 years ago and promised ourselves we'd come back - and did! Very European with minimal services / amenities, but terrific if quality trumps quantity. Simple, solid, tasteful furnishings, great location, interesting bedrooms, excellent breakfast buffet, grand lounge (never used but would be handy on a rainy day)......we... more

The Hotel Pironi is everything its website says it is and more. We stayed three nights with friends across two rooms. We arrived early and had our pick of the available rooms so we could see that all the rooms in the hotel are different in size, decoration and character. But all those we saw had loads of character. Our... more

This is a lovely small hotel with quirky decor and very nice rooms. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful and the breakfast good. unfortunately it didn't live up to our expectations. It has two quite big downsides which put us off using it again. There is no air conditioning. We were there in May when it was unseasonably warm... more

Pironi is the ideal hotel in this idylic little town on the western shore of North Lago Maggiore. We had a very nice room with balcony overlooking the lake and the rooftops of Cannobio. Pironi is in the middle of the older part of town that just overflows with ambience, small inexpensive restaurants, outdoor cafes and the feeling of being... more

We decided we wanted to stay in this hotel after plenty of research and a recommendation from a friend and tried to book via the website. When I hadnt had a reply I was so keen to stay I rang them direct (the reception staff have great English) and discovered they did have our booking but for some unknown computer... more

Hotel Pironi is a jewel. Another favorite of our's is Locanda Orseolo in Venice, which will give you an idea of our preferences. Stayed here for 4 nights. Room was charming and comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake and rooftops. Terrific breakfast including eggs if desired. A little hard to find when you first arrive, but that's part... more

Hotel Pironi is a lovely hotel in the lovely medieval town of Cannobio. the building has an historical atmosphere and is the centre of town but it is quiet, the rooms are beautifully furnished and ours was very large. We asked for a view of the lake and got one. Car parking is secure & free, breakfast is great. We... more

Stayed 2 nights in July. Our room was large and although we didn't have a view of the lake we had a large terrace overlooking the little side street with a fantastic blue painted frescoed ceiling and arches and columns. We were able to talk to our neighbours in limited Italian across the street and made friends with Sisi the... more

Really enjoyed our 5 night stay at the hotel Pironi as the previous reviewer says its a gem. We had a nice friendly greeting on arrival from the receptionist and during our stay they were always friendly and helpful. We had room number 2 which had a balcony with lake view this was really nice and had the sun for... more
