We spent three nights in Gera Lario, a tiny village near the North end of Como Lake. We explored the hill sides and walked the lake shore. The mountain views in the area are spectacular and walking or even driving up from the lake is very rewarding. There are fine restaurants close by, 5 Casa being one, about 2 km south of the hotel. Albergo Lario is a modest hotel, clean and modern with convenient parking. The staff are friendly and accomodating and the food in the hotel is excellent.
