We've been comming to Pie de la Cuesta (just north of Acapulco) for more than 10 years. We used to stay at Hotel Vayma but they have been raising their rates to the point that it is now basically unaffordable. Vayma is a hipper, cooleer place with a well built kitchen and staff. Problem (other than their current rates) is... more

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at the Villa Nirvana in the middle of the Swine Flu drama and found it to be a retreat for lots of people escaping from DF to the calm, serenity of the coast. The serenity of this hotel does happen by accident - the lovely, thoughtful and considerate owners have worked hard to achieve this... more

I stayed here for 2 nights with my wife and another couple and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very basic but it's clean and the owners and staff were friendly. We didn't have any hot water in our room but didn't really need it as it was so hot that we were always taking showers to cool down.... more

The rooms are very clean basic and cheap but the main problem with the place is the owners. They were extremely un helpful and not very friendly to the point where I felt un comfortable (They clearly have a problem with the hotel next door). The beach area reserved for the hotel is nice but there are far better areas... more

I can't say enough about this personal touch hotel. Small, clean, convenient and friendly. The service is beyond excellent. I will definitely be coming back over, and over, and over. more

My husband found this place by searching for nice beaches on Google Earth. What drew us to it was that it was not a tourist place. We wanted to go somewhere that wasn't full of people so we could enjoy some alone time. Our room and balcony overlooked the ocean. We were so close to it we could throw a... more

I've stayed with them twice and I've enjoyed both immensely. Most of what is already said is true. The rooms are very basic without neither TV nor radio (or A/C for that matter!), yet, that's what to me, makes it more enjoyable. It's just you and your company and/or reading material! Breakfast is very good and best of all, they... more

Hotel Villa Nirvana is a nice clean property with a nice pool. However, we arrived Easter Saturday with my Mother-in-law and our eight month old baby, hoping for some peace and quiet away from Acapulco. The party music in the square over the road started at 10 and went on at unbearable volume (literally shaking the our room) all night.... more

Six of us stayed at this wonderful place Dec 26 2003 to 4 Jan 2004. It was very clean and we loved the pool. Breakfast was very nice indeed and a good selection. The owners Pamela and Daniel were very welcoming, and very trusting. We could help ourselves to beers etc and put it in a book what we had.... more

About 20 minutes taxi ride from Acapulco lies Pie de la Cuesta, a 2km strip of beach by the Pacific Ocean. A small "village", there are an adequate amount of restaurants with fairly limited but generally good quality food. There are plenty of internet cafes and small shops to buy snacks. The people who live there are generally poor and... more
