Had a great stay here with 4 friends at the begining of Feb 2012. 5 min drive to the slopes (Phil/Louise are very nice and very happy to drive you and help sorting with ski gear). Rooms clean and warm, bar a nice option, food is excellent and the chef and seasonaires (Beth and Katrina) are very helpful and friendly... More

Myself and the two brothers Lacey had a truely great stay at La Terrasse de Verchaix. It's a clever thing to combine the best features of both hotel and chalet in one well-wrapped parcel, but I think Phil and Louise have achieved it here. On the one hand, we were presented with flexibility, responsiveness and real professionalism throughout the enquiry... More

I spent a week here with friends. We were very lucky with the weather and the snow conditions. The whole week was fun and so easy. A 10 minute drive to the ski lift - we could have got the bus,, but Phil waas usually on hand to take us!..The food was excellent and the beds very comfortable. I would... More

We haven't stayed as guests of this hotel, but we made extensive use of their outside terrace during a stay at a nearby chalet in July 2011. The owner made a real impression when I first poked my head around the door, he warmly welcomed us and showed us to their amazing terrace with views of the valley below, and... More

We had such a great long weekend skiing last year that we rebooked for this year. The skiing conditions were very different. The western and eastern alps have had a bad season with no appreciable snow for two and a half months. Despite this the runs higher up were very good and the skiing (as long as you stayed high)... This is our third stay at the hotel and once again we had a fantastic time. Phil and Louise are constantly up-dating the hotel and it is a clean, comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Louise's meals are great and plentiful. The hot tub is always a welcome sight after a days ski-ing. We shall certainly go back next year. More

Stayed in the family room for a long skiing weekend. Was unfamiliar with this part of the ski area having previously stayed in Les Carroz. The hotel is in an excellent location with the dining room and our room having lovely views of the slopes in Morrilon. Easy 5 mins drive to the ski lift in Samoens and up to... More

For the second year we stayed in this great place with the nice owners Philip and Louise. They really make you feel at home. The rooms are small, but everything is there and the view from the windows is stunning. Louise is a marvellous cook and serves you delicious meals and cakes at tea-time. From the hotel you are (by... My husband and I along with our son Archie (aged 7) stayed at the Chalet Hotel La Terrasse de Verchaix during half term week in Feb 11. What a lovely hotel. Phil and Louise have worked wonders and it felt like a home from home. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Lovely Ellie is a great addition to the staff,... More
