This is an honest reveiw and not a scathing attack. The Big village has the potential to be a fantastic little place but it needs to change several key things. We stayed at the Big Village for a week in early july and were pleasantly pleased with the accomodation, the room was bigger than expected with a good sized bathroom ( shower only) and very clean. Friendly maids every day with clean towels halfway though the week. Nice pool area with lots of sunbeds, no towels laid out reserving beds.... more

We chose the Big Village and Skala through Cosmos and a last minute deal with Tesco vouchers! The staff are friendly and efficient yet with a family laid back greek feel. Just got back from a great week staying at the The Big Village. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable. Maids cleaned everyday and changed linen and towels half way through the week. Talk about above average!! Have you ever been to Skala.....it is lovely. The Big Village is a new hotel 100m from town, but it is sooooooooooooo quiet. The Air Con was wonderful in the rooms as outside it was 35 degrees. the Pool is refreshing and 200m from the beautiful Skala Beach. You must visit Skala, and you must stay... more
