We returned to Theo's as we had a last minute week free and wanted to relax in the sun with no hassles. Were not disappointed. Hotel is a relaxing, friendly place to stay and we returned home refreshed. Food seemed better than when we were there 3 years ago. Recommend having the daily specials as menu whilst good, can get... more

This was our 3rd visit to Theo's in the past 14 years and if I had my way we'd return every year. The hotel is delightful - it's not 5* luxury, but Theo and Elena offer something money can't buy - a very warm welcome and a beautiful, friendly, charming place to stay. There are many wonderful walks through olive... more

Theos hotel is lovely, geared up more for the older generation, both Theo and Elena were most helpful and work tirelessly for their guests, rooms spotless but basic ( we knew that), no problems at all apart from the flight with Thomson! cabin crew looked like they didnt want to be there, no sandwiches or snack packs, no sick bags... more

We were very concerned that our two teenage daughters would be bored at such a quiet resort, but Elina and Theo made our holiday for us. No request was too much trouble for them or their staff. Cold water bottles were always available if you felt you could not walk down to the supermarket again. Good food in the restaurant,... more

This hotel was in a quiet location set in the hills and within 5 mins walk from the beach. The entrance to the hotel was on a steep hill so not really suitable for young families or elderly people. The hotel is family run and the owners refer to each guest by name, They are very friendly. The views are... more

We booked Theo's Hotel having read the reviews. We loved the setting, just a ten minute walk downhill to the town. The rooms were basic but clean and adequate. A hairdryer in the room would have been useful. The bathroom was so small you had to put your feet in the shower tray when using the toilet, but again very... more

We have just returned from 10 days at Theos and are amazed by the previous review. We ate both at Theos and in the village. Theo and Elena are certainly not intimidating, and we were never made to feel remotely uneasy when we ate out! They are the loveliest couple - always on hand if you need them, but are... more

My wife and i went for a relaxing holiday in Jul 09 on a bed & breakfast basis. After an interesting bus journey (driver going round blind hairpin bends at speed and whilst on the phone!) we arrived to a warm greeting from Theo and Elena. We were shown to our room which was what we would expect from a... more

We stayed at the hotel in May for a week. When we arrived the reception was great from Elena and Theo. The hotel staff were very good and the hotel was clean and tidy the pool area needs updating lick of paint and new beds and parasols. We did feel as the week went on if you didn't spend time... more

Management response from
iluvsangeorge, Public Relations manager and ex-guest

The title of this report is very unfair and not at all representative. Many ex-guests would be amazed and mis-believing at what they are reading. The comments that the owners ignored guests or were 'intimidating' come as a great surprise and are totally contrary to most guests experiences. The hotel and owners have excellent reputations for friendliness and the hotel...

Me and my partner visited Hotel Theo's for 10 days, and we had a lovely, relaxing time. Apart from being eaten to death by insects (not the hotel's fault, of course!) and came face to face with snakes and locusts we had a very peaceful stay. The pool area could do with a bit of an upgrade (the umbrella's and... more
