First information, this is no longer known as the Mandarin Oriental. The name has been changed to Grand Lapa from August 1, 2009. Mandarin will continue to manage it for another 2 years. My wife and I always feel that this hotel goes above and beyond to satisfy the guests. All the staff address you by your name. They are always smiling and attentive. The spa and pool are very nice. It's in a good location too, right next door to the Sands Casino. more

we had a lovely time at mandarin oriental macao. it was only for the weekend and we were looking for some peace and quiet, which we found here. the swimming pool was very well maintained with great food and excellent rooms. if you get lucky you can also get a room with a view of the city of macao! =)... more

While i visited this hotel a while ago, I think that the property still deverse a my compliments event though it is a few years late. I went in on a package which inlcluded a massage and room. My biggest surprise with the Mandarin Oriental Macau was the room rate--way under $200 US per night. I'm surprised with the reviewers who feel this property is somehow a subpar Mandarin. Old facility, poor meintanance, resonable service, the biggest gap i have ever had between expectations and reality. Used to stay at the Mandarin Bangkok and Singapore - it is not the same ! A two/three star hotel! more
