This Hotel holds a magnificent position overlooking the Rine very peaceful and next to an Abbey, yet within walking distance of a very pretty town. The rooms were excellent with Balconies where you could sit and enjoy the view of the river and watch the passing ships. The breakfast and dinner were buffet style and the English were well catered for... More

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel as part of a Black Forest tour. The roo ms were clean and comfortable. There was an ashtray and matches in the rooms but NO smoke detectors! We were in room 429, had there been a fire on the corridor we would have had to go on to... More

We spent four nights at this old style hotel. The hotel is located in the old fortified part of town with stunning views of the Rhine. The staff are very helpful and the food is varied and very good. The rooms are a little dated but they are spotlessly clean. Our room had a large balcony overlooking the Rhine. Breisach... More

It is certainly a strange hotel. Very large. I wasn't impressed that the restaurant is not open for 3 days of the week. Breakfast is ok. The swimming pool is very nice as long as its not busy. No real bar which is a shame. You have to pay for wifi which I still get annoyed about in hotels. It... More

The room was large and clean but seems to need some updating as the furniture was a little musty and outdated but comfortable. The location allowed us to walk throughout the town and offered a fantastic view.

Room - we had a deluxe room with twin beds. Private access to a garden which overlook the town below and to the swimming pool. Rooms is clean and bathroom is huge too. Service - reception was very accommodating. Upon checking in, we were shown to our room. As the corridors we so dark I actually tripped (miss some steps)... More

Although the veiw from hotel is great, if you are thinking of flavouring the village atmosphere, do yourself a favour and dont stay here. The hotel is tired, rooms are reached via danky tunnel and two different lifts. Staff generally indifferent, make you feel like they are doing you a favour. Fantastic place but wish we had stayed down in... More

The service was very offish. Recepionist was grumpy and quite rude. One would not expect this from a Chain like this. Rooms were very clean and we were upgraded to superior rooms. View on the Rhine is absulutely stunning. If you want good and personal service don't go there. For businesses it is ideal.
