If you are searching this site you are probably thinking about booking a holiday at the Matina, my advise is don't. We stayed for 2 weeks from the 13th June 07. There are 4 blocks of apartments 1 block very nice, but few tour operator guests were booked in there, the 2nd block ok what you would expect, the 3rd & 4th blocks, and I suspect the oldest, are dire.The one bed apartment we stayed in (710) was very poorly maintained, the toilet pedestal was cracked and leaked, (the couple below had stinking black mould on their bathroom ceiling) the kitchen sink waste leaked, the bathroom even without the problem with the toilet was filthy on arrival, balcony firniture was broken, cooking rings had 2 settings off and burn the hell out of everything and by far the worse experience was on the 8th day we were left "clean" sheets which were soiled (you don't want to know what with but as a health practitioner I could take an educated guess) cleaning standards are appalling.
