My girlfriend and I just returned from Guillermo and had the best time! We felt slightly outnumbered by the Brits but everyone was so friendly! I am an extremly fussy eater and I found plenty to eat! The staff was amazing and went out of there way to assist us! We are planning to go back to guillermo next year... more

We travelled to the Sol Cayo Guillermo on 15th November with Thomas Cook. On arrival, we quickly got checked in and found our room. Yes, there was a musty smell but as soon as the air con was switched on this cleared. The room was perfectly adequate, we had requested a sea view and got one, we were about 70... more

We arrived at the Sol on 1st November for the start of our 2 week break. We had already requested a ground floor room and the management said that as it was our 25th wedding anniversary they would give us a special room. The room was defininately special! The electric fittings were hanging off the wall, the bed linen was... more

This was our first visit to Cuba, and after reading the comments on here I came to the conclusion that this resort was either loved or hated by the reviewers...so I was a little wary about this holiday. The holiday was with Thomas Cook, and our flights from Manchester on the 8th Nov were on time and the service as... more

We have just returned from a week in Sol Cayo Guillermo. We had been on the Classical Cuba Tour a week before so this was our chillout week, and it certainly was. The food was excellent all cooked and prepared in front of you, fresh pizza's, meats, pasta dishes, and they cater for everybody. I defy anybody who is fussy... more

My wife and I stayed here in October this year. I had read the reviews before we went and I would like to assure everyone that the negative reviewers must have either stayed at a different hotel or have a sad life! This hotel and more importantly the staff are both excellent. We stayed for two weeks and didn't want... more

I booked my holiday tp cuba in september and as I am a travel agent and work for the company I got a great deal!! We arrived at the sol cayo guillermo on the 8th November with the tail end of the hurricane in mexico passing through, we were greeted at the doors by the staff playing music and offering... more

Do you have a Facebook account? - check out the Sol Cayo Guillermo regulars group. I first visited this hotel in 2004, and have never been on holiday anywhere else since! We have now stayed at this hotel 5 times, and can't wait to book again for next year. Cayo Guillermo is a small island off the North coast of... more

After our first trip to this hotel earlier this year we were delighted to book again and return in October. I'd like to point out that I never saw any overgrown parts of the gardens and yes the beach is narrow but if you'd done your homework before going to this hotel then you would be aware of that! As... more
