My wife and I stayed in this beautiful hotel recently for two nights. The rooms that we stayed in were not in the main house. We stayed in what must have been the stable. But in the 1500's stables were made of solid stone and built to last. The room had original beams and was a nice size. Small dormer... More

Spent a wonderful night here with friends. The first glimpse as we came through the elegant gates was a chorus of "Oh my god". Pretty much like driving up to Downton Abbey but with French style towers. Interior is gorgeous but not at all intimidating or stuffy. We happened to have the Henry IV Room (which is featured on their... More

Thank you Trip Advisor and Chateau de la Bourdaisiere for making my fairy tale dream of staying in a castle come true! After many hours of research on trip advisor and various web sites, I decided to book our four night stay at Chateau de la Bourdsiere. It was fabulous! The drive up to the chateau on the long and... On arrival I thought that I had stepped back in time Although not a large chateau the ambience of the chateau and the surrounding parklands had a sense of days gone by There is an archway designed by Leonardo and lovely grounds to stroll through Had a French cooking course here which just added to the whole experience I was... From the moment we arrived we were smitten by the place. The staff is amazing. The front office staff can not do enough to help. The breakfast is wonderful. We ate dinner there one evening and wished the meal would have never ended it was so nice. The room was clean and well taken care of. The on suite facilities... More

Go for the tomatoes and stay for exceptional variety of heirloom vegetables. The worst part is for gardeners and lovers of fresh produce is the inability to pick / eat while wandering the paths. We had dinner in the gardens and while very good it wasn't exceptional but well worth it for the ambience and the fact that we didn't... More

This chateau looks gorgeous from the outside and the rooms are large and comfy. The grounds have been spoiled by an environmental idea gone bad - they have white signs everywhere and some very bad modern art - including large art of plastic garbage to discourage the use of plastic bottles - although the hotel ignores this and had 5... By chance, we arrived during the tomato festival in September. We were on our honeymoon. The gardens have hundreds of varieties of heirloom tomatoes. We awoke to thousands of French families converging on the chateau for the festival. You could buy seeds from strange varieties of vegetables. The people were very friendly and it was a highlight of our trip.... More

The best reason for coming here is the gardens. We had previously visited the tomato festival, so ensured we timed a two day stay so that we could be there on the Saturday morning when this annual event takes place - and great fun it is too, with much more than tomatoes to see. These are serious vegetable growers. There... More

The chateau looks perfect but when we arrived travel-weary at 3.45pm, our room was not ready. We waited 90 minutes before it was ready for us - and I had to go and find the cleaners and ask them to prioritise cleaning our room. The hotel restaurant was fully-booked and when I asked where we could eat I was given... More
