My sister and I stayed with Alison and Michael for a week. All of the positive comments about the walks, the accommodations, the food, and the hospitality in the other reviews posted here are true. They deserve an enthusiastic and unequivocal recommendation. We experienced everything just as others have reported. From the first greeting to the sendoff, you instantly feel... More

This was definitely a short break with a difference and certaily exceeded my expectations. Alison and Michael provided a nice personal touch with excellent food, a warm welcome and good guided walking in a lovely farmhouse setting. Can certainly recommend - came home refreshed. So in spite of strong winds some varied walks, not too strenuous, but enough to give... More

Two friends and I had five days staying at Michael and Alison's B & B with the added bonus of guided walking tours of the gorgeous Corwall coast every day. I cannot speak too highly of the gorgeous home farm B & B we stayed at with gorgeous, healthy and delicious meals from breakfast to dinner. Ali is an excellent... More

This place surpassed all our expectations. The house is gorgeous and so homely; the food is the tastiest I've ever had anywhere, and quite healthy too, even ice cream that tastes that good has to be good for one - yes? Breakfast, packed lunch, dinners, all so fresh and delicious. The walks were great, even if I did puff a... More

My husband and I had not been to Devon before so wanted to get a flavour of the area. We are active but not hill walkers so were unsure how much of the guided tours we would manage and were prepared to do other visits if necessary. However , we were able to participate fully, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There... More

From a warm welcome, to a cheery sendoff at week's end, Michael, Ali, and Ellie (our walking companion springer spaniel) made our seven-day stay at home Farm a perfect one! From our first hike, walking from our "home away from home" along the dramatic Devon coastal path, to our last day walking from Widemouth Bay to Bude, we got much... More

My walking experience in North Devon at Home Farm in Welcombe (pronounced Welcome) was delightful. Mike and Alison Stubbs are terrific hosts. The Coastal and inland walking perfect, accommodation and food, excellent. I can't praise it hightly enough and I'll certainly be returning. More

Spent 4 nights here and 3 days walking and definitely hope to come back. Ali and Mike really know how to make you feel welcome, the house is just beautiful and all you can hear are birds. The walking was great - it's the only way to see this coast and Mike is full of interesting facts about the area... More

Had a great time there in August 2011. Absolute beautiful site. Interesting guests, all willing to have a good time together. Hosts - Alison and Michael - help with everything. Ellie, our dog-friend and -guide, goes hiking with the group. Would I repeat my stay? Immediately and without any doubt! More

Our second visit to Home Farm and Alison, Michael and Ellie was just as good, if not better than our first. We'll stay a full week next time. Alison's gourmet cuisine, Michael's local knowledge on his hikes throughout North Devon, afternoon tea and cakes, and the comfortable atmosphere make Home Farm our top choice for a UK holiday. Their hospitality... More
