May 2008: This appartment is simple and clean, the area relaxing and the view splendid. It can be a bit cool at night in this season; the heating is a good thing! Marmari and the neighbour village Karystos are small, but beautiful. Some knowledge of the Greek language is of advantage when getting in contact with the locals. Impressing beach in Marmari - a paradise for painters....Capital Chalkida is gorgeous!
Mr. Elpidoforos is an uncomplicated, welcoming, friendly and helpful person. His sweet dog Emma is a lovely and peaceful pet - one is tempted to take her out for walks :-) If you want to spend relaxing holidays during a non-crowded season in a Greek village that has still remained Greek, this appartment can be more than advised.
