The lady running this place couldn't have been nicer and was a pleasure to deal with. I had problems with the wi-fi which wouldn't work, and the modernised room was very small with an updated tiny shower room, but apart from that, there was an lcd tv, nice bedding (hard pillows though), and a superb breakfast. Don’t be put off that this hotel is within a Chinese Restaurant, it could hardly be better. The rooms are all very clean with a modern finish. The breakfast was one of the most delicious ive had the staff are incredible sweet, even offering to do your ironing for you. There is a very honest personal touch to the place... more

This place is a hidden gem, and like other reviews here describe, should NOT be discounted because it is above a Chinese restaurant. The rooms are very nicely decorated to a high quality with a quaint kind of sophistication. The room (The Strand) was very small but nicely appointed and spotlessly clean. (I did peek into the Hollywood room though and that was huge). There are only 6 rooms, all over a 'Chinese' restaurant. There were no odours or noise apparent though. The owner and staff were very pleasant and welcoming. more
