The room was very nice and clean as was the rest of the hotel, situated on a busy main road, next to the airport (don't book transfer, pay for a taxi when you get there, it is only 5 mins from airport) however i did not find Demitre and family friendly like i had read on the reviews previosly, maybe... more

Hi there, just read a review of this hotel and I have 2 agree. Dimitri, family + staff make you very welcome.The food is superb, home cooked by Dimitri,s mom Esmeralda,(hence the name of the hotel), myself + my wife stayed with them in 2001 +2003 + enjoyed our stays very much. This was our third venture to Rhodes in 4 years and our 2nd stay at the Esmeralda after this time booking direct with Dimitri. It was truly the best holiday yet and dimitri & his lovely family once more were the perfect hosts, Esmeralda's wonderful cooking and Dimitri's endless easy going nature combine to a lovely restfull and relaxing break.... more
