We have stayed at this hotel twice and have found none better in Europe. The hotel is right on the square of the beautiful little town with lots of shops. If you can afford it...get the suite. We found the hotel just perfect for Appenzell. Perfectly decorated indoor and out, perfect warm Swiss welcome, friendly bartender for a late night Appenzeller schnapps.
