We were led to this site by the earlier review on Trip Advisor, and it was a fine place to stay. The setting on the Mosel is terrific, indeed, but with one caveat: It was late September but quite warm while we were there, with a very hot sun. In the late afternoon it really blasted the balcony, so we had to lower the shutters and really couldn't enjoy sitting out until after the sun had gone behind the hills.
We would still recommend the place, though. And it\'s a great base for touring that section of the Mosel.
There's good on-site parking, and Zell has several decent restaurants not too far away.
Zell is the place where Zeller Schwarze Katz originates. For many Americans of a certain age that is probably the first "real" white wine (i.e., with a cork!) they ever drank. Pictures of black cats are all over town.
