Very good offer price for the room 99euro per night (for a 5star hotel)but very expensive room service and mini bar. We get there late in the night and we prefer to stay in the room they charge us 19 euro for a club sandwich plus 3euro for the room service, also the price of the beer in the mini bar... more

Very calm and pleasant, at least in October when I stayed there. You will need a car to get to downtown Kalamata, although in October there was no parking problem. The hotel is admittedly showing its age, the rooms being of a somewhat older furnishing taste. I did not pay for my stay there so no comments on that one.... more

Very good hotel with excellent location and sea view. Excellent breakfast, very spacious and clean rooms, quiet The piscine needs a little bit renovation (has some black patces and has not been fixed which is not permitted in a 5 stars hotel) more

It's a big and classy hotel with pool, garden, seaside tables and umbrellas and it's efinately Kalamatas accomoation king. It belongs to the Grecotel chain, which means that many things are standarized and no matter of luck. The room was very spacious, very clean and had a nice balcony and view to the garden and sea. Big bathroom too and... more

The Filoxenia belongs to a category of Greek hotels that on the website and marketing hype look quite amazing , totally breathtaking and unmissable. The reality is sadly very different. Touch beneath the surface and a big disappointment awaits. We arrived with high expectations to what is deemed to be one of the best hotels in the Pelopenese arriving under... more

Small room, poor view of side garden (although it was winter and guests were few, no sea view was offered. Reception is nice and promises better things...trek across to the rooms and it goes downhill from here. Really basic and do not go near the mini bar! Even by global mini bar pricing standards this one is a doozy!! Would... more

With better service and more attention to detail, this hotel could be much better. It is set nicely on a pebble beach at the end of the busy searfront road in Kalamata, a workaday town in the southern Pelopennese. Our second floor room had distant sea views and a small balcony. The room was clean and bright. There was no... more

We stayed here during the busy season, and overall a very average experience. The hotel rooms are clean and well kept and the air conditioning worked well which was a plus in hot Kalamata. But thats where the compliments stop. The service at the restaurant is bad. At lunch we waited almost 30 minutes before we got served and the... more

It is unique resort hotel in Kalamata. At all the others the beach is through a highway. In Filoxenia a beach very quiet and beautiful, with crystal-clear water. Strange and shocking feature - all deck-chairs near to water are occupied all day and night, on them towels or any things . Even if you decide to sunbathe in 8 o'clock... more
