the first time we stayed with our kids and second time we came back by ourselves. We love the place and people. Yes the restaurant situation is exciting but the restaurants that are nearby are very good . You should not attempt the area without a very good map. It is a very relaxing , peaceful place to stay. more

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Casali della Aiola. Frederica, the owner, was very welcoming and gracious as she took time to help us plan our day trips. Don't let the dirt road deter you---it's worth the drive. It is lovely the way the old buildings are situated right in the heart of their vineyards and olive groves--enchanting. Lovely breakfast,... more

We are a family of four (5 and 8 year old children) and stayed for two nights. We had several small rooms located in a beautiful garden next to an old vinery; the children loved exploring the gardens while I enjoyed relaxing in the shade of one of the trees in the garden. The place is easy enough to find... more

Our group of 5 stayed in two rooms at Casali della Aiola for three nights in May. We had a very nice stay. Fredericka goes out of her way to welcome you and is more than willing to give suggestions for touring the area. We were travelling with our senior parents and asked for a room that was a bit... more

We stayed at Casali della Aiola for 4 nights this August as my brother was getting married at another nearby hotel. If you want a relaxing break with the sound of silence then Casali della Aiola is the place for you to stay. Set in a georgeous and peaceful location, a 5 minute drive outside of the small village of... more

My wife and I travelled to Tuscany during the Easter April long break. We picked this based on the previous reviews ( which also included 1 bad review ). Firstly we were not disappointed like the previous owner. Casali Della Aiola is a B&B which utilises a converted farmhouse on the site of the winery. The owners Frederica and Enrico... more

Our stay was all we could have hoped for, and more. Set on a hillside overlooking vineyards and olive groves, Casali della Aiola is the epitome of the Tuscan setting. The owners' home is a 16th century manor house built atop the walls of a 13th century fort (the drawbridge across the moat now is the driveway). The B&B is... more

I have had much success with recommendations from this site so feel obligated to warn you. not to stay here. Although Frederica is very nice she was totally unavailable to us. We never saw anyone else. One day when we needed assistance we buzzed her from the breakfast room to her home across the road as she suggested. We never... more

Management response from
Enrico & Federica, owners

Albeit undeniably we must respect every opinion and think about every complaint to better our service, it hardly seems fair to lay the blame upon our B&B if there is just one restaurant in town and it’s fully booked, or if the guests next door are noisy. As it’s really peculiar to call ‘remote’ a place that is just 8...

It is hard to find words to describe Casali della Aiola. My husband and I return there year after year. The owners, Federica and Enrico, are fantastic and really know how to take care of their guests. Rooms are very comfortable and decorated by Federica herself in a Tuscan style. Breakfast is delicious with Federica's homemade cake. Casali della Aiola... more

My company is a commercial tour operator, we specialise in biking trips. Naturally we see many hotels and meet many owners. This place is just wonderful. The owners are about the nicest people you could hope to meet on holiday. The accomodation is directly opposite the family castle. Frederica acts as the hostess, and nothing is too much trouble. Her... more
