We never intended coming here. Missing our train from Rochdale to Smithy Bridge with a 30 minute wait my wife and i decided we would tackle the unknown and go to "Toddy" as the locals say. this is a lovely friendly hotel ,but unfortunatly it is right next door to a church,so it is best not to stay there on a satuday evening, the rooms need re- decorating as the wallpaer was peeling and there was a damp patch on the ceiling(we stayed in room 1) .the hotel was very generous with the tea?coffee,unlike most other... more
This is a great establishment handily placed right opposite Todmorden railway station which has regular rail services to Manchester, (35 mins) Leeds(55 mins), Bradford(35 mins) and Halifax (25 mins). The rooms are located above a pub and restaurant but they were clean with good facilities. The best thing was the price - considering it gave free access to the health... more
