The hotel is set amongst the mountains of the Andes and feels like entering an ancient white-washed converted monastery or nunnery but with all the amenities of a 5 star hotel, perfect. Fantastic place, great rooms and garden. very quiet. Great views. It looks like a colonial building but is brand-new. It is indeed pretty expensive compared to other hotels in town but if you enjoy waking up and looking at the Sierra, listening to birds, that is the place. A mile away from Cachi, a really unspoiled gem of the Cafayate valley. All newly built but a well done copy of a colonial style monastery. You have to look twice to see that it is not original.
