The only intelligent thing that they do at this resort is avoid the check-in process by assigning your rooms & giving the keys on the way to the resort. The hotel was very good, little bit desgasted, candidate for renovation, food very good for Cuba, staff friendly, very good entertaiment, fantastic swimming pool and lots of mosquitoes. The Key is very quiet, too much for me. more

Beautiful grounds, very well kept pool, lots of beach chairs, shade, nice beach. Food was plentiful, nice "a la cartes"...have been to cuba 3 times this year, stayed next door at the Melia (prefer it actually...smaller). My husband and I stayed at Melia Las Dunas from Nov 14-Nov 21. Note that this is low season and only 48% of the resort was full therefore some of the restaurants were closed.
